Summer Parent-Child Enrichment Class
Words in Motion: Ocean Edition
Designed for 3-5 year olds and their grown-up
Wednesdays | July 1 through August 5 | 10:15-11:00 am | $225
Each class helps to make learning easier for your child later on by building strong early language and literacy skills.
Your child will build their confidence while practicing routines, listening, following directions, talking, and making friends.
You will learn how to support these skills alongside other parents and leave each class with easy tips and strategies to use at home to support your little one every day.
Each session is designed and led by Stacey, a pediatric SLP, to build your child’s language in joyful, age-appropriate ways.
Every class blends story time, music, movement, and play with simple, research-backed strategies that support early talking, listening, and social skills while setting a strong foundation for reading and learning.
It’s connection, communication, and early learning all in one joyful community.
*Please Note: This class is NOT a form of speech therapy but can be a great supplement to therapy. They are designed for both children who are meeting their communication milestones and for those who may need a little extra support.
More About the Preschool Classes
These story-based language enrichment classes are a type of kindergarten readiness class. They are designed by a pediatric speech therapist (that’s me!) for children ages 3–5 and their grown-ups.
Each week, we dive into a fun theme through stories, music, movement, and hands-on fun where your child learns naturally while enjoying themselves. While traditional story time offers wonderful opportunities for connection and fun, these classes take it a step further by using evidenced-based strategies throughout class.
These classes support early language, social, and literacy skills in a warm, welcoming space where both kids and caregivers feel right at home. You’ll leave each class with easy, practical tips based in research to continue the learning (and fun!) at home.
There’s also joyful open playtime for kids to explore and make friends, while parents and caregivers connect, share stories, and support each other in a relaxed, friendly space.
This is more than just story time—it’s a thoughtfully designed experience that blends the joy of play and stories with expert guidance to support your child’s growth and your family’s connection.
At the core of each class is a love for language, learning, connection, and community.
Story Behind Our Classes
After having my own children, I discovered the joy and comfort that came from attending mommy-and-me classes. These experiences offered so much: meaningful social opportunities for my kids, a chance for me to connect with other parents going through similar stages, and, most importantly, a safe and welcoming space to bond with my children while creating lasting, positive memories.
That inspiration led me to create these classes. Each one is thoughtfully designed to be developmentally appropriate, engaging, and—above all—fun for both children and their caregivers. At the heart of everything I do is the goal of strengthening the connection between little ones and their grown-ups. I truly believe in the power of community and am committed to nurturing it in every class we share.
Every session is centered around a playful, purposeful theme that encourages creativity and exploration, all while supporting important developmental milestones. The classes gently introduce new language concepts and help lay the foundation for early literacy skills—tools that will support your child’s success in preschool, kindergarten, and beyond.
I believe that communication is the cornerstone of connection, learning, and confidence. My hope is to empower you with the knowledge and support to help your child grow into a strong, confident communicator.
